Hello,
I am Jiali Zheng
Background: Created by Me in Blender
I am a senior student interested in Game Development. In this portfolio, I Iisted three of my work created by Unity.

Zelda Remake
"The Legend of Zelda" is a well-known game developed by Nintendo and first released in 1986. It has been beloved by players for decades.
In this remake project, I was responsible for designing most of the iconic dungeon enemies, including the powerful Aquamentus, the swift Keese, and the elusive Wallmaster—classic monsters well-known and loved by fans of the series.
One of my core responsibilities was to thoroughly study their movement patterns and faithfully recreate their behaviors. Additionally, I developed a system to track the health and attack power of both enemies and Link, ensuring balanced combat. I also contributed to the design of various weapons, further enhancing the battle experience.

Seed of Hope
This is a two-player puzzle platformer developed by a five-person team, inspired by the classic Fireboy and Watergirl series. In the game, two players must work together to solve puzzles and overcome challenges in order to find the magical seed—the key to saving the world from desertification.
In this project, I was responsible for level design, mechanic design, and artwork creation. My primary task was designing and implementing the mirror mechanic, one of the game's core gameplay features. This mechanic allows players to use flashlights to reflect light and solve puzzles. I utilized Unity’s raycasting system to ensure accurate light reflection and interaction, maintaining both realism and playability. This mechanic plays a crucial role in progressing through the game.
Based on this mechanic, I designed Level 3, which challenges players to master complex light reflection techniques, strategically using mirrors to ascend and move forward. Additionally, I created simple 2D pixel animations using Aseprite for in-game assets.
Below are some in-game screenshots.

Little Fox's Home
In this personal project, I designed and developed a cozy 2D game featuring a charming pixel art style and a red fox as the main character. The fox has a passion for interior design and decorates its warm little home by arranging various pieces of furniture. I personally created the fox’s sprite, adding a unique personal touch to the visual aesthetics.
Players can unleash their creativity by dragging, rotating, and placing furniture to freely customize the fox’s home. This project also served as my exploration of Unity’s Scroll Bar functionality, allowing players to easily browse and select different furniture items, enhancing the interactive experience.
This project showcases my skills in sprite creation, game mechanics development, and crafting visually engaging, thematic gameplay experiences. It reflects my passion for creating warm, heartwarming games that bring joy and inspire creativity in players.
